Chem wrote a very good article about how the Gulf War Vets may now get the care they deserve as the Disease may be recognized and accepted now! That is a good thing.! A lot of great folks will be pleased about that!+++++Now, being GWI and such, was mentioned, I'd like to "educate" the public a little about what the disease is like...GWI/FM/MS, it is being thought, more and more, are very similar diseases with very little over-lapping of symptoms. There are elements of symptomology from these 3 diseases that are all a part of the "syndrome". Talk to any GWI Vet, and I am sure he/she will tell you, the worst part of it all, mostly, is the "brain-fog" or "Fibro-fog" that occurrs! It lowers the quality of life considerably, because it causes so much problems with memory loss, forgetfulnness, difficulties with problem solving, learning disabilities, etc. It is very frustrating and disturbing, to not be able to function in that area of everyday life as "normal" people do. It makes it very difficult to learn and/or remember new things. Getting interested in computers, to meet people and build up confidence, helps some. There are many facets to this strange disease that are very frustrating and perplexing. Optical neuritis is another problem, (which I am having this week), which causes one eye to feel like it has a "hot bullet" in it, painful and causes some vision loss which returns later, hopefully and usually. Insomnia is also a "big" one on the list...which causes anxiety, mood swings, depression, etc. The Fibro Myalgia part is painful, sometimes debilitating...intense muscle spasms, bone pain, swellings, and the MS part causes some of that and problems with balance, memory, moods, intention tremor, spasms, numbness in hands and/or feet, vision loss, clumsiness, strange sensations, (feelings of intense heat, pressure, tingling, pins and needles, electrical shock feelings,) etc. GWI has caused problems for younger victims in that their children were born with horrible birth defects! GWI isn't caused by any one thing, IMO, but by several factors....perhaps, chemicals, biologicals, the oil feild fires. Bio-chemical weapons, vaccinations, pills taken for protection from Bio-chems., Hot diet soda given to troops with the Aspartane chemical heating and "changing". etc. The B1 B Bomber that crashed recently had picture of many "circular" chemtrails presented in with the article at CBS website...Hmmm...same old thing again? How many of our boys that are lucky enuf to come home will be "sick" with another one of those "un-recognized" syndromes? Family, friends, neighbors, and people in general, find it hard to accept and understand the many and varied symptoms from the disease and take for granted what they can do and "remember" and can't have patience or understand how this illness can gravely impair these abilities in the GWI vet or anyone that has GWI, MS, or Fibro-myalgia...which are basically the same disease, in many respects...the "new" disease category..."New Age disease" for the New Millennium. Blessings, Natasha (You wouldn't believe how many times I had to re-read this, to make sure all was right). N.
